BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a process involving the generation and management of digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of places.

So BIM is not a software and is more then just a 3D model which was created in a BIM-ready program. The 3D model is the fundamental base of course, but without any data you will not be able to use it in it’s full range.

Existing buildings

Even though the idea behind the BIM process is to use the same model trough the different steps of design, built and manage, it makes absolutely sense to create a 3D model of existing buildings and add the needed data in order to manage the building in the most efficient way.

You will get the most out of it of course, if you combine the 3D model with a facility management software.

We can create a 3D model of your building(s), based on your 2D CAD drawings and if you like, to integrate the model in a facility management software with all the existing data.

If you have to renovate the building later on, you can pass the BIM model to the architect or building contractor and they will have all they need to go to work, without having to work with old 2D drawings.

Once the work is done, they will supply you with the new model, which you can then use again in your facility management software.
